NATIONAL DOWN SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH
Quality educational programs, a stimulating home environment, good health care, and positive support from family, friends and the community enable people with Down syndrome to develop their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
I am a mother of 2 children. Aidan is 3 years old. Emily is 3 weeks old & to our surprise was diagnosed with
Down Syndrome at birth.
April 4, 2009....Our perfect plan we had for our family changed forever.
I am married to a wonderful husband. He is a computer geek & a soldier in the National Guard. Our family has lived through a year deployment. My husband was overseas for a year when Aidan was ten days old. I couldn't ask for a better father for my children.
I believe you create your own life & that there is a purpose for everything that happens in life. I live by my Grandmother's motto:
"You can, you will, & you must". I have learned that the best things in life are not planned.
